FAQ's

What can I do in preparation for my appointment?
Please do not drink alcohol or use any type of blood thinning OTC medication (such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin) within 24 hours of your appointment.
Please refrain from sun exposure/tanning beds the 2 weeks prior to (as well as the 2 weeks after) your appointment. Get a good rest the night before, eat a full meal, and drink lots of water before coming in. We also recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that will limit obstruction to the area which we will be tattooing.
Should my skin be perfectly clear?
The general rule of thumb: the clearer, the better. Dry, chaffed, sunburned, irritated, and/or broken-out skin will not tattoo well and will ultimately hinder the quality of your tattoo once healed. If you are suffering from any type of skin issue, we may ask you to choose another area to have us tattoo or reschedule your appointment.
How much will my tattoo cost?
The cost of your tattoo will all depend on its size, location, amount of detail, and the time needed to complete it. Pricing starts at $100 (shop minimum) for smaller tattoos and goes up from there.
For larger projects, pricing is determined by the length of the session and whether or not the tattoo is black & grey or color. Sessions are priced according to your artist’s hourly rate.
If you are sick, please (please please please) stay home. Our artists value their health as well as the health of their families, so we do not want to be in close contact with anyone sick for hours at a time.
If you are unwell we will reschedule your appointment and give you priority in our schedule in order to get you in as soon as possible once you are feeling better. Our artists reserve the right to cancel your appointment on the spot if you show up for your tattoo visibly unwell.

Does it hurt? Do you offer any numbing/anesthetic creams?

We do not carry any anesthetic gel nor do we recommend the use of any numbing/anesthetic products.
What should I bring?
Please bring a government-issued photo ID (license, state ID, passport, etc.) with you.
Please bring any reference material with you. On the day of your tattoo appointment, please bring anything your artist requested of you at your consultation. Feel free to bring your headphones, a tablet, book, magazine, a bottle of water/any other non-alcoholic beverage with a lid, and light snacks if desired.

Do you do cover-ups?
Yes. If you have a piece that you are no longer a fan of, we would be happy to make it into something you’re thrilled about. Contact one of our artists directly to discuss & plan out your cover-up process.
I’m fine but I’m on Antibiotics. Should I still come in for my appointment?
The use of antibiotics shortly before getting your tattoo or during the healing stage will likely affect the integrity of the tattoo and is not recommended.
Consult with your physician but try and avoid taking antibiotics within 30 days before and 30 days after getting a new tattoo, if possible.
